Rand-Emonium has released an update to the Wordle Solver for the Apple IIGS. Wordle is the puzzle game where you try to guess the five letter word and based on feedback on what letters are correct, you work towards finding the target word. Wordle Solver was a classic desk accessory that will solve the puzzle for you but the interface was not easy to use.
Now, that same Wordle solving algorithm is available in a graphical new desk accessory. It can solve the standard New York Times Wordle puzzles, including the WordleGS implementation by Dan Malec. The NDA also supports solving Wordle puzzles hosted by the Captain’s Quarters II BBS which uses a different valid word list.
The NDA will tell you what word to guess. Then, you tell it which letters are right and wrong by clicking on the buttons displaying the guess. The solver will then give you a better guess, hopefully.
The Wordle Solver NDA was created during KansasFest 2024, a yearly conference celebrating the Apple II.
